Paper Bag Album

Ok, here is my share for today. This is the first time that I have made one of these and it was so much fun. I didn't realize how easy these where to do. I made this album for my sons cub scout leader. I am hoping that she really likes it. All the paper is from K&Company, the cardstock is Bazzill, and the stamps that I used are from Stampin Up. I used my cricut to cut out some of the flowers. I also used my Sizzix

machine for a few of the flowers. I added buttons to the flowers, which I just love doing, and added ribbon to a few of the pages. A few of the pages also have hidden journal boxes on them. I have a few more pages to do and then I can take it to her. I will be making a lot more of these in the near future, they are really easy and fun to do. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Scrapping to you all.

Have a Very Merry Christmas. I will be back after the holiday.

Bingo with our local Seniors

On Sat. December 13th my son's cub scout troop went to our local senior resident and played bingo with the seniors. The boys each made a dozen home made cookies and other goodies. Everyone there had a wonderful time. These are a few of our residents that joined us.

My son, Zachary and my daughter, Danielle, handing out the treats that we made. The basket was to heavy for my son to carry so he had his sister help him out. They had so much fun. Each person that received a treat was very impressed with them. The picture to the right is the boxes we made. We put hershey nugget chocolates in each box and stamped letters on them to spell out HO HO HO. Each box contained 6 pieces.

Here is my son calling out those winning numbers. He is not a very outgoing child and I was very suprised to see him jump at the chance to call some numbers. We had many prizes to hand out the the scouts had made.
Thanks for stopping bye and have a wonderful week.

Baby's 1st Christmas Layout

Here is a cute little layout that I did for my friends grandson. This was so easy and fun to do. I cut out a bunch of cirles and was able to paper piece this cute little bear. I also cut out the tree and the present and paper pieced them as well. On the tree I added some glass beads to give it some dimension. I cut out the letters and added some highlights to make them pop. All the images I cut out on my Cricut (my best friend in scrapping). I now have to do another one for my own granddaughter.

Pleas stop back and I hope you enjoy my items that I have worked very hard to make.

Merry Christmas

Bath Time Layout

This is a layout that I did for a friends daughter who had a little boy recently. I was so proud of myself when I did this one, cause it came out just the way that I wanted it to. I cut two large circles out of baby blue cardstock and layered it with circles in white cardstock. I inked the edges of all four to give it a really cute effect. Then I cut out a bunch of little circles measuring from 1/2" to 1 1/2 " and inked the edges with baby blue ink. I layered the bubbles to make the tub look like it was overflowing. I also layered the letters to give them dimension. I had a piece of designer paper and cut out a few of the images and layered them on a few of the circles. All in all I think it turned out really good. Now I need to do one for my own grandbaby only in pink.

Thanks for stopping in and Happy Scrapping.

Christmas Cards

Hi everyone! I have just a few items to share with you today. I have this great website that I go to and they have these challenges that I have been getting into. The site is Splitcoaststampers, I have been having alot of fun and have gotten a ton of inspiration. I highly recommend that you visit this site if you haven't already.

This first card was for a layout challenge. I just love the little flowers that I put in the corners. The image is one that I received in a swap awhile back and thought it went perfect with the candy cane cardstock. I inked the edges of the green cardstock with black ink. I used dimensionals to pop up the candy cane image, just to give it a little depth. All in all I think it turned out pretty good. I am sure that one of my friends or even a family member will get this card for Christmas.

This second card is another layout challenge. I had this beautiful designer paper with holly leaves and berries on it, that I just love. I layered it with red card stock and then layered that on top of green cardstock. I added a sentiment, which I stamped onto white card stock and layered it with red. Then I added a couple of red brads to that. To finish the card off I added a piece of red ribbon and used dimensionals the the sentiment to pop it up just a little. This will be another card that I will be sending out this year. I hope whoever gets this one they will like it just as much as I do.

Those are my shares for today. And check back often I will be doing alot more to share with you all.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Scrapping.

Small break

Sorry for the small break, but there has been alot going on lately. My husband has been trying to get his sleeping schedule down, he works nights and has to try and sleep during the day. My computer is in our room and I don't want to disturb him. Then my dad ended up in the hospital and has to have bypass surgury sometime in the next few days. So it has been very hectic here to say the least. But on a happy note I do have something to share today.

This is a card I made the other day for a challenge on Splitcoaststampers.com, it is in honor of the birth of my first grandchild. The base is chocolate brown cardstock, with a pink, green and white plaid designer paper. The butterflies are made from a stamp that I used on marbled pink cardstock and I used chocolate brown ink. I only tacked them down on one wing so the other pops up just a little. I added a saying, also in chocolate brown ink, and layed with two pieces of cardstock. Then for the final touch I added a piece of ribbon. I really like the way it turned out and I hope my daughter likes it also.

Well that is all for today. I hope to be able to post tomorrow, but we will have to see what happens with my dad. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping.
