Altered Paperbag - Prima Lyric Collection

Today I am sharing a project that I did for a challenge over at Miriam's Crafting Blog's 11th Monthly challenge - Texture.  You have to use some type of texture on your project.  My project I have used a number of things.
So lets get started!!

Here is my altered paperbag.  I used Prima's Lyric collection.
I added some lace to the top and about half way down.  I took a doily and cut it half and added that to the top of the pocket, which really isn't a pocket it just looks like one.  I added some flat back pearls in black and added some black rosette trim.

The flowers I used are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I used trellis roses in 2 different shades of pink, the hip rose buds are 2 tone pink.  I also used a black rose from I Am Roses. The pearl spray is from Want 2 Scrap.  The chipboard butterfly I got at Michaels.  I also made a dangle charm to hang from the side of the paperbag, and a tag that goes in large pocket.

I hope you enjoyed my project!

Happy Scrapping!!

Easel Post it Note Holder/Card

Hi Everyone!!  Today I would like to share a project that I did for a challenge over at Creating the Crafty Life.  We had to make a easel post it note holder.  This was so easy to do.  The paper line I used is from Graphic 45, Once Upon a Springtime Collection.  I added flowers from WOC and a pearl spray from W2S.

I added a couple charms from my stash that I got at Michaels.  I also added some vintage style lace and cheesecloth that I tucked in behind the cutout from the collection.  I inked everything with Vintage Photo from Tim Holtz.

I also added a flat back pearl and ribbon buckle.  I then added gesso to the flowers and charms.  I distress the edges of the paper with my Tim Holtz distressing tool.  I just love the color combo that I used for this.  Thanks for stopping by!!

Steampunk/Girlie Box!!

Hello Everyone!!  Today I am sharing a box that I created.  I made this box out of medium weight chipboard.  The paper line I used is by Prima, its the Engraver line.  I used chipboard gears from Leaky Shed Studio. I also used some metal gears from Tim Holtz.  The flowers are from WOC and the pearl spray is from Recollections, which I got at Michaels.

The lace trim came from MB Treasurista.  The chain and the feet are from my stash.  I added paper to the inside of the box as well.  I used Vintage Photo distress ink from Tim Holtz for the edges of the paper.

I also used gesso on the flowers and the edges of the gears.  This was my first time attempting steampunk and I think I did a pretty good job.  I hope you have enjoyed my project as much as I had creating it.  Thanks for stopping by!!

Altered Mini Clipboard

Hi Everyone!!  Today I am sharing an Altered Mini Clipboard.  This was so fun to make!!  I used Prima's Lyric collection for the background.  I also used Wild Orchid Craft flowers and pearl spray from Want 2 Scrap.

I also used some items from my stash, the charm, trim, pearls and buttons.  Flat back pearls in pink, came from MB Treasurista.  The dragon fly is from Gina's Designs.

I also used gesso on all the flowers and pearls, and I used some on the paper to give it a chalk board effect.  This came out better than I expected it to.  I just love it.

Memories Box

So over on Miriam's Crafting Blog, she is having a challenge.  The challenge is to do a project that has something to do with flowers.  It has to either have flowers or be something that can be used with flowers, like a vase.  You can submit up to 4 projects.  The prize is a $10 dollar credit to her shop. This is the first project that I will be entering in the challenge.

This is a box that I altered with Prima's Fairy Rhymes.  I used some of the chipboard pieces that are in the collection.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The chipboard fairy is from Gina's Designs and the chipboard swirl is from Leaky Shed.  I love the way this box turned out.

In this picture, it shows the stenciling I did with modeling paste.  I used 2 different ones.  I then inked the modeling paste with Vintage Photo distressing ink by Tim Holtz from Ranger.  I also used some lace for around the edge of the lid for the box.
I then went back and added some gesso to make it look like snow on the bricks.  I think It came out awesome.  I hope you have enjoyed this project.  Thanks for stopping by!!

Keeping my fingers crossed!!

Altered Book Box

This is a book box that I altered for the Artful Creative Contest over at Creating the Crafty Life.  I have used several of the items that Lucky sent me to alter this box.  I also have a pic of what I used on the box.
I used almost all of what you see in this pic on the box.

This is a pic of the outside of the box.  I used the brown cardstock and the 8x8 paper for the front.  The frame is only half glued down so you can slide a picture under it.  I used my Martha Stewart punch for the butterflies which I punched from the same paper.  The flowers I used the trims I got, and I also used the same trim around the box.  The spine of the box I used a different trim. I made pearl swirls with the flatback adhesive pearls I got.  The resin flower at the bottom I used gesso on to lighten it up.
The inside of the box I also made to hold photos.  I made a small flower arrangement in the corner and I had some cloths pins that where pink so I painted it with gesso and then painted it with sage green acrylic paint to match the papers I used.  I love the way this came out.

Thanks for stopping in and checking out my project!!

"Lyric" Box

Well its been awhile since I have  made a post.  So today I would like to share a small box that I altered today.  I used Lyric by Prima on this box.  I did a few different things on this box.  I added a black crochet doily and then added some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.  I also added a pearl spray and some crystal sprays, one in green and one in pink.  I also added a metal clock and some pearls from Want 2 Scrap.  The bottom of the box I did some stenciling with som modeling paste.  The paste I added some light pink acrylic paint to give is some color.  I then inked the edges with vintage photo and black soot by Ranger.  I then touched everything up with gesso.  I love the way it came out.  Thanks for stopping and keep watching for more to come.
