Altered Tray - Last DT Project for SCB

Today I say goodbye to an awesome design team.
This is my last project for Shabby is Chic Boutique.
I just want to say that I have had an amazing time and loved working with some very amazing ladies.
I want to especially thank Amy Love for giving me this awesome opportunity to design for her amazing shop.  I hope I have done her proud!
Now lets get to my final project.
I have altered a wooden serving tray.
I have designed this to hold a 4x6 photo.

This will stand or can be hung on the wall.
First I painted it with white gesso, then added pattern paper.
The top right of the layered paper, which I also distressed the edges, I rolled each of the corners.
I then tucked in a paper doily to the top and bottom.  I then added some scrap pieces of lace to the top doily.  I added some paper flowers, and some applique leaves.  I also added a couple of the organza flowers with rhinestone center.  I finished it off with adding the pearl garland, a pink cameo, a flat back pearl and some flat back pearl roses.

The bottom left corner  I added 2 different dangle laces along with some square shaped flat back pearl trim.  I then added some paper flowers, another organza with rhinestone flower, pearl garland and this amazing pearl with rhinestone button.

To the top of the tray I added more of the dangle trim and these beautiful flat back roses.  You can see from the picture there was a little wind and it gave the lace some amazing movement.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects during my term on this amazing team.  I have had a great time working with these amazing products.
Thank you so much Amy!!!

Altered Book Box SCB Design Team Project

Welcome to this weeks project!
I have altered a wooden book box.
I have used some new and old items for Shabby is Chic Boutique on this box.

This first thing I did was gesso the whole box.  I then added pattern paper, which I love the brown and blue together.  I took the blue paper and curled it back to show a paper doily, a small fabric doily, a metal key, a small ivory rose resin piece, and a flat back pearl heart.  I then added a large applique along with some flat back self adhesive pearl trim.

I then decorated on top of the applique with some paper flowers, dangle trim, heart shaped wooden button, a flat back pearl heart, more ivory resin roses, an organza fabric flower, leave appliques, metal spoon, a rose colored metal bow and some pearl garland trim.

I then added some lace trim, pearl trim and resin rose pieces to what would be the pages of a book.  I then added some dangle trim and pearl trim to the spine of the book.

I love the way this book box turned out.  I hope you like what I have created this week.  I have one more project to go before my term is up.  I have so much enjoyed being apart of the Shabby is Chic Boutique Design Team.  I would like to thank Amy Love for asking me to be apart of it.

Shabby Chic Banner DT Project for Shabby is Chic Boutique

Welcome to this weeks project!
This week I have created a beautiful shabby chic banner piece!

I used light weight chipboard for the base.  I covered the chipboard with some pattern paper, which you are not able to see.  The paper got covered up with some beautiful laces.  I then added some flatback pearl trim to the top along with some seam binding bows.

I used some heart trim on the edges along with some laces from my stash.  I created these super cute butterflies with pattern paper, distress ink, and stickles.  Its hard to see by they do have antenna's on them!!

I created this beautiful shabby flower with a rosette, cheesecloth, dangle trim, and some leaf appliques.  Adding a gorgeous bling piece to the center.

The bottom has a satin bow, a large flatback pearl, a flatback pearl hearts, and some dangle trim.
Below is a list of items used from the shop.
I also will be sending this to Miss Amy Love for her 1000 subbie challenge/giveaway!!
I hope she likes it.

Gift Set with Card

Welcome to this weeks project.
The last couple projects have been very extravagant, so this week I went simple.
I have made a little gift set with a matching card.

Starting with the card, it measures 6 x 5 1/4.  I added some pattern paper which I distressed all the edges.  I layered more pattern paper in two different styles, also distressing the edges.  I added a wood tag and a wood sentiment.  From Shabby is Chic boutique I added some beautiful lace, flat back pearl trim and some flat back roses to finish off the card.

My next item is actually some empty scotch tape rolls, which I glued together to form this pencil/pen holder.  I used more of the lace, flat back pearl trim, flat back roses and added a butterfly applique and a pink cameo from the shop.  I double layered the lace and added the pearl trim to the bottom.

This container is just a little smaller but just as cute!  I used a single layer of the lace adding the pearl trim and flat back roses as well.  If you look at the top of the lace you can see how I layered the pearl trim to give it a scalloped look.  I incorporated this technique in all three of the projects.

I love the way my project has turned out.  Below is a list of the items from the shop that I used.
Thanks for stopping and Happy Crafting!!
Kim :)

Double Waterfall Folio

Today I am sharing a very special project!!!
This is a Double Waterfall Folio.

I created this for a friends mother.
She is celebrating her anniversary very soon and wanted a special gift for her husband.
I used the Mirabelle Paper from The Paper Studio, you can get this at Hobby Lobby.
I used some spellbinder dies to create the frame and some mats.  I then cut a crochet doily in half and
used it at the top and bottom of the photo.

This is the inside of the folio.  I created two waterfalls and it will hold 36 photos.

On the bottom right corner I have a couple chipboard pieces.  I painted the word "Love" with gesso and then inked it with Victorian Velvet distress ink.
On the top right corner, I have a flower cluster.  I used flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I also added some stamens from Hobby Lobby.

Along the spine I used some cream colored crochet trim and some dark brown chinese braid.
The bottom left is a flower cluster using flowers from WOC.  I also included a bird cage I got from a very sweet friend, Darlene!
Thanks for stopping!!
Kim :)

Vintage Altered Stacking Boxes - SCB DT Project

Welcome to this weeks project!
Shabby is Chic Boutique Design Team Project.
This week I have altered a set of stacking boxes.  I love the vintage look these boxes have.  The beautiful paper is Songbird by Prima that is just gorgeous!

Each box has vintage lace, pearl trim and bows to tie them all together.
I also used some cameos, in two different colors and heart shaped wood buttons along with some resin roses, flat back pearls, pearl and gold embellishment..

The large box has this beautiful rose gold metal bow with rhinestones adding a cameo to the center.  I used another cameo in the flower cluster on top of the box.  I layered the vintage lace alternating each layer to give it the look of a larger lace.  I also used a crocheted doily that I cut in half and used on the large and medium size boxes.

The medium size box has an applique bow with cameo, again layering the vintage lace to match the larger box.  I added a pearl and gold embellishment to the front of the box.  I also used some of my dangle lace to drape over the edge.

The smallest box also has an applique bow with a large flat back pearl as its center.  Again layering the vintage lace to tie all three boxes together.  I also used some applique leaves under the flower clusters.
Also tying the boxes together is each box has pattern paper with birds on the lids.

I hope you like what I have created this week and please check out all the other lovely ladies on the team to see what they have created.  Below is a list of items used from Shabby is Chic Boutique on facebook.

Altered Wine Bottle - SCB DT Project

Hello Crafters!  Kim here with my first DT Project for Shabby is Chic Boutique on Facebook!
I went out of my comfort zone and created an Altered Wine Bottle.

This picture below are the items I used from the shop.

Now let me explain what I have done!!
First I decoupaged the beautiful rose napkin to the wine bottle.  Now this is my first time doing this and I think I did a great job.  I then wrapped some cording from my stash around the top of the bottle and then added the pearl trim and tiny flower lace.

I then took the beautiful flower trim with dangles and cut it apart.  I staggered the flower pieces around the top of the bottle.  I then added the flat back pearls and the flower with gold.  I love how the dangles just drape over the bottle.

To finish the bottle off I added more of the pearl trim to the bottom.  I also added the cameo with the leaf appliques as a finishing touch.

I hope you like what I have created.  Please check out my video on my Youtube channel.  Also check out the other design team members on Shabby is Chic Boutique blog.  Below is a list of what I used on my project.

List of Items:
Rose Napkin
Gold Rhinestone and Pearl Flatback
16mm Flatback Pearl Button
2" White Leaf Applique
White Flatback Pearl Trim
White Flower Lace Trim
Flower Dangle Trim
