Pink and Black Part 2!!

Hello everyone!!  Today is part 2 of my Pink and Black Mini!  I hope you enjoyed the first part.  Don't forget to check out The Robin's Nest Store for these great products and also check out Gina's Designs as well!!  I had alot of fun making this mini and using these amazing items.  So lets get started!!

The first page I am showing is very pretty!!  I used another one of the doilies from Gina's Desings.  I inked the edges with black chalk ink.  The paper is the Pink Zebra Glitter Paper.
I also used one of the butterflies from Gina's Designs as well.
I used gesso to soften it and added some black flat back pearls to form the body.  I added some flowers from my stash, which I also used gesso on.  The edge of the pocket I used some lace, black trim, and some white flat back pearls which I also used gesso on.

The next page I made a pocket and embossed the black cardstock.  I used gesso to make the design pop.  I added a bunch of flowers and also added a dragonfly from Gina's Designs.
At the top of the pocket I used some pink cardstock that I punch with a boarder punch and added some frosted white dew drops to each of the scallops.  I used gesso on the flowers and they dragonfly.

The tag for the pocket I also added the frosted white dew drops and gesso all around the edge.  I also used the same boarder punch for the tag.  The background paper is the black paws.

My next page I used the Black Zebra Glitter cardstock for the background and took one of the doilies and cut it in half to make a jounaling spot.  The photo mat I used my Tim Holtz distressing tool and inked it with black chalk ink.
I added another butterfly from Gina's Designs and some flowers from my stash.  I used gesso again to soften everything.

This next page was fun to make.  Its kinda like a photo wallet.  I used the pink leopard glitter cardstock for the base and used the black zebra glitter cardstock for the wallet.

I used a couple white decorative buttons from my stash for the closer along with some pink twine from Bella Creationz

I took the other half of the doily and cut it in half again and used another butterfly for the corner, I used gesso on it also along the edge of the wallet.

I added some flat back pearls to the edge of the pocket.

The back page of the album just has the pink zebra paper and one of the doilies.  Which I used as a journaling spot.

I hope you enjoyed the second half of this album.  I know I enjoyed making it!!  Again this was my first project for the Robins Nest DT and can't wait to do the next one!!  Please check out their "Chattering Robins" and also check out Gina's Desings.  Thanks so much for stopping by and please come back again!!  Have a happy scrapping day!!!

Pink and Black Mini - My First DT Project!!

I am so excited to share my very first design team project with you all!!  I had so much fun creating this mini! I call it "Pink and Black".  And as you can see when you look at my pictures you will know why.  This is a 5 pocket page album, each of the pocket pages can hold a photo mat measuring 5 inches x 3 3/4 inches.   This months theme is animal prints and we are teaming up with Gina's Designs.  I have fallen in love with Gina's Designs!!  I have used the doilies and butterflies in this album, they are gorgeous!!  Please check out her online store!!

First picture up is the front cover of course!!The paper I used was the Pink Zebra Glitter Cardstock for the base.I then used some lace from my stash and used some flat back pearls in black, along with some flowers also from my stash.
I used some of the Diamond Dew Drops in black on the cardstock doily, the doily is from Gina's Designs, and they are so pretty!!  I also used from Gina's Designs a chipboard butterfly, these are gorgeous!!  I then softened everything up by using gesso.  I also inked all the edges with black chalk ink.

The next page is very simple.  I used the Pink Leopard Glitter Cardstock for the base.  I then used some black cardstock and embossed it as a photo mat.
Along the edge I used some white crochet lace and pink flat back pearls.  I made a flower with some pink and white twine.
I also used gesso to make the embossing pop on the cardstock.

The next page is probably one of my favorites!!  I used the Black Glitter Zebra Print for the base.  I then used some pink cardstock to make a fold out photo wallet.
I then used some black cardstock that I embossed again and used gesso to make it pop for the front and the mats on the inside.
I used some white lace and black trim for the small flap.
To keep it closed I used a metal piece  and I used another diamond dew drop in the center and I also used gesso to soften it up.

I used some flowers from my stash, and another one of the butterflies from Gina's Designs which I also used gesso on.

The next page is very simple.  I used the Black and White Glitter Paw cardstock for the base on this one.  I then used some pink cardstock that I embossed and used black chalk ink on to pop the embossing.
I then used some black trim and white flat back pearls along the side.  I also used some Black Dew Drops in two of the corners and placed some flowers in the bottom right corner.

The last page I am going to share today is also very simple.  I used the Pink Leopard Glitter print again for the base.  I them used some pink cardstock to make a pocket and punch a decorative boarder along one edge.
I then used a piece of the black and white zebra paper and some mini dew drops to decorate the pocket.  I them made a small tag out of black cardstock and embossed a small piece of pink cardstock which I adhered it to the tag.  I used some pink seam binding for the pull on the tag.

"Family Love" Mini Album

This is a mini album that I created for a swap that I was in over at NBC (Nothing but Crafts) its a facebook group that I belong to.  My partner was Sharon and we decided to do Family theme albums.  The paper line I used was from Hobby Lobby called "Mirabelle" by the Paper Studio.  I love this collection, it has rich earth tone colors.  My cover I layered some laces and trims along the side and added some flat back pearls.  In the corner I layered some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and used a ticket from Tim Holtz.
I also added some bling that I had in my stash.  The letters I inked with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink from Tim Holtz made by Ranger.  I then used glossy accents to give them dimension.

The next few pictures are of the inside, just a few of my favorite pages!!  The first one is of a fold out page.  I love the way it come out.  I added some seam binding for a bow, and when you undo the bow it cascades into a photo wallet.  I added some more WOC flowers and another TH ticket.

The next page is very simple and that is why I love it!  I just put a photo frame and added some handmade flowers and some bling.  I also tucked in a few more WOC flower buds.
The next page is also very simple but elegant, I think anyways!  I used this beautiful trim and added some WOC flowers. I made a pocket with the trim and added a pull out photo mat.  I really enjoyed making this album.  All the pages in this album are pocket pages and I used the hidden binding system that I learned from Laura over at Following the Paper Trail.  Its an awesome binding system.

I hope you enjoyed my post today and please check back for an Exciting Announcement on June 29th!!!!

Thanks and Happy Scrapping!!

Book Box - DT Submission for The Robins Nest

This is a Book Box that I have created as a DT Submission for The Robins Nest.  I painted the box with vintage white acrylic paint.  Then I adhered designer paper with mod podge.  The designer paper is Mirabelle, from Paper Studio, from Hobby Lobby. I used Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink to distress all the edges of the paper before adhering it to the box.  Then I layered several different laces along the edge of the box and then edged it with a cream colored pearl strand.  I then added some pearl bling from "Want 2 Scrap".  I then placed a cream colored doily to the bottom right of the box, and layered a metal flower embellishment on top of the doily, which is hard to see with all the flower layering that I have done.  I then added flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and also added a double bow of seam binding also from WOC.  Then the last thing was to add the metal butterfly embellishment at the top of the pearl bling.

Altered Mini Canvas

I made this little altered canvas with my granddaughters photo in it.  The canvas measures about 4x4.  I attached a piece of seam binding to the back and made a bow at the top and attached a small WOC flower so that the canvas can be hung up.  All the flowers are from WOC's.  The laces are from Lavish Laces and the pearl trim came from my stash.  The metal butterfly, that I whitewashed, came from Butter Bee Scraps.  I also white washed around the photo and canvas.  The canvas I painted blue and then took vintage white paint and streaked it to give it a cook effect.  The rosette trim under the gardenia flower also came from Lavish Laces.  I also added a crystal bead spray that I also white washed.  I love how this came together.  I wanted to use mostly blues and have a hint of pink flowers to bring out the pink in the photo.  I hope you like what I have created and thanks for stopping by.  Happy Crafting!!

Altered Tag

This is a tag I made for a swap.  I used Graphic 45's Ladies Dairy Paper Line.  I just love this line its very vintage and I love the colors.  I layered the papers under the cut out of the paper.  I added some gorgeous lace that I had in my stash.  I also added some very light blue pearl drop trim.  The flower arrangement are flowers from my stash and the large curly rose is from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I also added a resin flower and a pearl spray.  I inked everything with Vintage Photo from Tim Holtz.  I just love how this came out.  thanks for stopping by and new projects will be posted soon.  I submitted this to a blog challenge over at LEJ Designs.  Have a Scrappy Day!!
